Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Laser Layers service ("Service"), operated by MP Dizajn, a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Croatia, with registered office at Brigade braće Radića 96, 42230 Donji Martijanec, Croatia, OIB: 10747953458 ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Laser Layers is an automated, self-service web application that converts user-uploaded raster images (PNG, JPG, SVG) into vector-based color layers (SVG and PNG files), formatted for use in laser engraving, laser cutting, Cricut, Silhouette, and vinyl cutting workflows. The Service uses computer vision algorithms (color segmentation, distance transform, contour tracing).

The Service is fully automated. We do not provide manual design work, individualized consulting, or human-in-the-loop processing.

Disclaimer: The Service is a tool for preparing artwork assets. We do not guarantee that every result will be compatible with every laser cutter or cutting machine — compatibility depends on the specific device, material, and settings you use. You are responsible for testing results on your own device before production use.

3. Registration and Access

You may use the Service as a guest (without registration) for preview purposes only. Guest sessions are temporary and expire after 1 hour.

To download output files (SVG/PNG), you must register an account. Registration is free and automatically places you in the Free plan which includes 2 exports (see §4). No credit card is required to register.

Account access uses passwordless email-based authentication (magic-link). You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure. We are not liable for unauthorized use of your account resulting from compromised email access.

One account per user. Sharing account credentials with other persons is not permitted.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Pricing and Plans

Important: An "export" (one download of the SVG/PNG ZIP file) counts as one processing operation. Uploading an image and adjusting preview parameters are always free and do not consume your quota.

The Service uses a one-time token model (no subscription). 1 token = 1 conversion (one export):

• Free trial — 1 token (one-time, no credit card required)
• Token pack — 200 tokens for 29 €, one-time purchase

Tokens never expire and are not subject to monthly limits. Buying another pack adds those tokens to your existing balance (top-up).

All amounts are in EUR. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC, part of Stripe Inc.), which acts as Merchant of Record and is responsible for tax collection, invoicing, and payment processing where applicable. MP Dizajn does not collect or store your payment card details.

5. Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

Token purchases are one-time; there is no subscription and no recurring charges. Purchased tokens never expire.

Because Laser Layers is a digital service that commences delivery immediately upon payment, by purchasing a token pack you expressly request immediate commencement of the service and acknowledge that you thereby waive your 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 79 of the Croatian Consumer Protection Act (Official Gazette 19/2022) and EU Directive 2011/83/EU, once you have used at least one token from the pack.

If you have purchased a token pack but have not yet used any token from it, you may still exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at podrska@mp-dizajn.com. For full details, see our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload images that infringe third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to process and use the images you upload.
• Upload illegal, harmful, defamatory, or sexually explicit content.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, quota limits, or rate limiting mechanisms.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to submit uploads in bulk.
• Repackage or redistribute the Service or its core algorithms as a competing product.
• Use the output files to train a competing AI or computer vision model.

MP Dizajn does not proactively review uploaded content but reserves the right to remove content and suspend access upon notification from rights holders or at its own discretion.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, algorithms, designs, and branding of the Service are the property of MP Dizajn.

You retain all intellectual property rights to the images you upload and to the output files generated from them (SVG layers, PNG previews). You may freely use, sell, share, and commercialize physical or digital products made using the output files. No license to MP Dizajn's algorithms or branding is granted by using the Service.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your uploads solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Uploaded files are automatically deleted from our servers after processing. We do not use your uploaded images to train machine learning models.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will meet any specific quality or accuracy standard for your particular use case.

Output quality depends on input image quality and characteristics. We encourage you to test with your free trial token before purchasing a token pack.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, business interruption, damage to laser equipment or materials, or any loss resulting from use of the output files.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. In the event of permanent discontinuation, we will provide reasonable advance notice and a refund for any unused tokens that were paid for.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by mutual agreement shall be resolved by the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Republic of Croatia, unless mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence provide otherwise.
